Aside from our comfortable patient chairs, utilization of aroma therapy machines, and gentle dental techniques, our North Easton office offers the following advanced technology for your improved experienced.

Digital X-Rays:

Digital x-ray technology uses a small electronic sensor placed in the mouth to capture an image, which can be called up instantly on a computer screen. When digital x-rays first became available about 20 years ago, they immediately offered a host of advantages over traditional x-ray films, which require chemical processing. Most importantly, they cut the amount of radiation exposure to the dental patient by as much as 90%. While faster x-ray films have been developed over the years that require less exposure, making that difference less dramatic, a digital x-ray still offers the lowest radiation dose possible.

Intraoral Cameras:

The saying “A picture is worth a thousand words” is so true. In dentistry, it couldn’t be more accurate in regard to the use of intraoral cameras. Using images to explain needed treatment helps patients visualize oral conditions as well as the possibilities to improve their smiles. Intraoral imaging is not only used to identify fractured teeth or periodontal conditions, it can also be used for areas of cosmetic improvement.

As a proponent for patient education, we always like to explain the reasoning behind any treatment recommendations that are made in the practice. By using intraoral imaging, we are able to show – as well as tell – the patient what we see. With the use of intraoral imaging, the patient sees the broken filling or recurrent decay on the computer screen.

Impression Scanner (no more gooey impressions!):

When compared to the traditional molding techniques that often cause high levels of discomfort in patients, the 3Shape TRIOS dental intraoral scanner offers a far more quick and convenient method of getting an accurate image of a patient’s teeth in order to create an impression. Instead of forcing a patient to remain seated in a chair for fifteen minutes to complete the impression procedure, the 3Shape TRIOS dental intraoral technology can scan teeth wirelessly in a matter of seconds and without the use of powder, which helps save time and decrease patient discomfort to a large degree.

Restorations made from 3Shape TRIOS dental intraoral scanners are not only completed faster, they are also delivered with a more accurate fit and require less adjustments. These scanners have the ability to measure the shapes of teeth for digital precision while also highlighting details with the incorporation of high-level HD pictures in the 3D model. In addition, the precision of 3Shape TRIOS dental intraoral scanners reduces the need for remakes, so patients don’t have to worry about coming back to the dentist for a do-over.
