COVID-19 Updates
Safely Here for You
We understand this is a challenging time for everyone. We are doing our part to keep our team, patients, and community safe by adhering to the recommendations of the American Dental Association (ADA), Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), and The Massachusetts Dental Society (MDS), and the state of Massachusetts.
Emergencies
If you have a dental emergency, please call us. We will use the algorithms generated by the ADA to determine if you can be safely treated in a private dental office.
Infection Control and Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
We utilize the most up-to-date sterilization and infection control procedures. We will continue to utilize universal precautions and have implemented new infection control procedures and PPE to ensure the health and safety of our team and patients. You will notice:
- We are promoting social distancing and limiting the number of people in the office. We kindly ask that only the appointed patient enters the office.
- We are screening ALL patients and team members. If you have a fever, and/or respiratory symptoms (coughing or shortness of breath), and/or an upset stomach we ask that you notify us so that we may re-schedule your appointment for 2 weeks after symptoms resolve OR you test negative for COVID-19.
- If you have tested positive for COVID-19, all appointments should be delayed until you are symptom free for 2 weeks.
- If you live with or remain in close contact with someone that has tested positive for COVID-19, all appointments should be delayed until they and you have been symptom free for 2 weeks.
- We will take the entire team’s temperature each morning and patients’ temperatures at check-in. Anyone with a fever of greater than 100 degrees will kindly be asked to return home.
- Our team has always utilized ideal protective equipment. However, we will be implementing an extremely high standard protocol of protective equipment until this pandemic is more controlled and known. We ask that you observe the most recent recommendations.
- We have added state-of-the-art air filtration units in EVERY single treatment room to keep our environment as clean as possible. These air purification units cycle air, trap bacteria and viruses using 4 different types of filters, and release clean air in return.
We are focused on everyone’s safety first and foremost. These are only a fraction of improvements and updates we have implemented.
Back on Track
We can’t wait to get back to doing our jobs – keeping your mouth healthy! With this in mind, we are staying current on ADA, CDC, MDS, and Massachusetts recommendations to ensure that we can do so safely.
Home Care
Brushing, flossing, and appropriate home care are more important than ever. Make sure that you are brushing in small circles for 2 minutes twice per day. Floss daily and slide the floss out when flossing near crowns, veneers, large fillings, etc. Try to minimize your sugar intake and rinse with water after eating. If you find yourself at home, try to brush after meals and limit snacking. If you need some help with a home care plan or would like to catch up with your hygienist, just give us a call!
